Essential Oils: what are they?

They are fatty agents that come from natural elements like flowers, fruits, barks, seeds, and roots. These oils have been studied to understand all their benefits and characteristics. One of the top uses for them is improving skin care, but they have been used for well-being, pleasure, and relaxation with different techniques.


Even though they possess an oily property, they are not similar to the vegetable oils that are used in the kitchen. Their molecular composition is different, and they have their own characteristics. Besides this, the procurement process is more complicated than with the vegetable oils because the essential oils need tons of basic raw material to be produced, for that reason, they can be hard to find in large amounts.

Essential Oils: Uses

  • Skin care: this is one of the main uses for these oils; they can be applied directly on the skin, and thanks to their vitamins and minerals they help to hydrate the epidermis. They are very well absorbed so they won’t leave an oily sensation.
